The Arts and Humanities Research Council [AHRC] supports world-class research that furthers our understanding of human culture and creativity.
From ancient history and heritage science to modern dance and digital content.
Established in April 2005, the AHRC is a Non-Departmental Public body. AHRC evolved from the Arts and Humanities Research Board, which was founded in 1998. Today, we are sponsored by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills.
