Allen is an accomplished researcher and advisor to disruptive start-ups and global brands. He has held executive roles at Repsly, Placester, OpenText and eVergance (now KANA), and was cofounder of Offerpop (now Wyng). He’s also been an analyst and practice leader at McKinsey and Yankee Group, and is now a VP and research director at Forrester.
He started his career as a data scientist in the telecom sector, and received a patent for his work. He has given keynote talks on 4 continents, has appeared on MSNBC, CNBC, and FOX TV, and in over 150 publications around the globe. He attended Brown, UVA and WPI, plays a mean bass guitar, and blogs at Small Data Group.
