Exploring new approaches/frameworks have implemented new features like in-memory caching, HTTP connection pooling, dealing with JSON optimally, Monitoring application via counters exposed using JMX/SNMP protocols and others as per requirement.
Performing analysis and optimizing the performance of the application in terms of CPU usage, memory footprint, reducing contention and others.
