My research field lies in multidisciplinary borders of innovation management, institutional theory, industrial dynamics and systems of innovation in the automotive industry. As one of the most regulated industries, environmental regulation in the automotive industry has a pivotal role in the development and advancement of technological capabilities of the firms, their R&D strategies and expenditure to develop cleaner technologies to respond to stringent regulatory requirements, customer demands for fuel efficiency as well as growing awareness and requirements from the society with regard to environmental issues.
