Better Libraries for Kern County (BLKC) is a coalition of Kern County citizens, taxpayers and small business owners who encourage our representatives on the Kern County Board of Supervisors to consider all options available for operation of our libraries – including a public-private partnership. We believe this partnership will result in more efficient operation of our libraries, longer hours for patrons and a greater selection of resources for the visiting public.
