I am an outside(r), entrepreneur, start-up advocate, investor, and ordinary athlete. My core purpose is to be immersed with awesome entrepreneurs, being in and protecting the outside world, and working on moon shot ideas (like energy). I founded SURGE in 2010 to enable entrepreneurs to solve the world's energy problems. We raised 4 funds, invested into 43 awesome entrepreneurs that have gone onto raise over $60M in follow-on funding and land critical customer traction. We built the largest ecosystem of energy mentors and experts from around the world. In 2016, I decided to close down SURGE.
