Carol B. McCullar Personal Profile Carol is passionate about the teaching of reading. Without reading, she believes, there is no learning. Her teaching career spans several decades, but over the past eight years she has concentrated on the teaching and coaching of struggling readers. She believes that reading does not come naturally to every child. Some children, especially those from poor backgrounds or whom English is a second, third or even fourth language have to be taught in a specialised way to "crack the reading code".
