I have practiced in the intellectual property field for more than 10 years, either in Mexican private and public sectors, besides the academia as professor and research director of more than 40 theses. As a federal public officer I was involved and participated in the modernization of the Mexican intellectual property legislation that initiated in 1994 by the enactment of the Industrial Property Law and corresponding Rules (1996), the Federal Copyright Law (1996) and corresponding Rules (1998) as well as the Plant Variety Federal Law (1996) and corresponding Rules (1998).
