I am a web miner with a background on information retrieval. Most of my research involves mining content, links, and usage data from the web. I have worked on web search, search log analysis, spam detection and social network analysis. Currently, I am focused on the interaction between traditional news and social media, and on extracting information from social media during humanitarian crises.
