Claudia is currently the Urban Business Development Manager for the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (RIEDC). Prior to returning to the RIEDC she spent 18 months working for ACCION USA (AUSA), a recognized micro-lending organization with offices nationwide. In her role at AUSA, she reestablished their presence in Rhode Island through strategic partnership development and financial education events throughout the state. Her experience also includes selling Property and Casualty lines of insurance.
Claudia was the recipient of the SBA’s 2010 Minority Small Business Champion of the Year award during her previous 3 1/2 –year tenure at the RIEDC. During that time she helped se
