He has over 20 years experience in the energy and mining sectors having been involved in small and large scale capital projects in Botswana, Congo, USA, Hungary, Israel, Australia and all over South Africa. Extensive exposure in the power industry includes thermal coal, renewable energy and nuclear power generation. Mining experience includes coal, mineral sands and iron-ire. He has come through the ranks and has operated at senior specialist and management levels as Design- and Chief Engineer, Director and Owner of a consulting firm, Construction-, Engineering-, Mining- and Project Manager.
