I have recently graduated with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. My strength is in computational modeling. My final year project work was on Optimum-path planning for co-operative robots using genetic algorithm. Robots are becoming an important part of manufacturing industry, and optimum-path planning for robots is often a critical aspect. Previously, this type of path planning has been accomplished manually or by some conventional optimization processes like LPP, differential calculus. We attempted to improve the performance of robotic path planning process using genetic algorithm. This was a novel approach by which robots will automatically check for obstacles in their shortest
