I am an Economic Development Officer representing the area of North East Lincolnshire which we brand for investment purposes as Greater Grimsby. I have two sector interests. Firstly food, we have a major food cluster locally which includes production of up to 70% of the seafood manufactured in the UK, other areas of activity include ready meals and soup manufacturing. Secondly, renewable energy with offshore wind a particular focus. The port of Grimsby is ideally placed to deliver operations and management activity for the significant number of wind farms that will come on line in the North Sea over the next 10/20 years.
