Chief of Staff, Office of Technology (CTO) - responsibilities vary, but include large project management, strategic initiatives, product development and business development activities for emerging technologies, and technology research / exploration.
No recipe or regularity with these initiatives. Projects generally have three traits in common:
- Highly important to the CTO's office
- No natural home within our functionally-organized company, beyond innate technical complexity
- Necessary to articulate definition of what success looks like for each project
