In my former lives as a private equity investor and lender, I made more than $500 million in capital commitments to finance growth, acquisitions, and recapitalizations. That means I have first-hand insight into how providers of capital think. As an entrepreneur, I have helped raise more than $30 million of equity capital. Along the way, I've learned the good, the bad, and the ugly of working with investors.
