Launched in early 2013 by Robert Lewis, Jr., The BASE methodology leverages the power and passion of sports to change the game for urban youth by providing high quality baseball, education, training and resources to help them reach their fullest potential. In just over a year, we have opened The BASE Clubhouse and Learning Center in Roxbury, which serves more than 400 young black and Latino men, developed strong partnerships with a number of colleges and universities and secured $10 million+ in academic scholarships for our student athletes. In my role as Project Director, I am involved in all strategy, marketing, communications and events initiatives. www.thebase.org
