Joined Indian Administrative Service in 1973, after B.Sc. (Hons) Physics in 1969 from IIT Kharagpur, M.Sc. Physics in 1971 from IIT Kanpur, & doing research in Physics for 2 years at the same institute. During my service, did MBA from the University of Leeds in 1988 under the British Colombo Plan.
Retired as Chief Secretary in the State Government of Haryana, India, after working for 36+ years at several positions (Secretary, Director, MD etc.) in government, public sector undertakings & universities/educational institutions. Attended several in-service training programs in India & abroad and participated in several national/international conferences.
