I was born in Romania in 1974. Although times were hard while I was growing up, I consider myself very lucky to have grown up in one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
I worked briefly as a primary school teacher before moving to the UK in December 1994 to be with my future husband, Clive Bonsall, Professor of Archeology at the University of Edinburgh. We have two beautiful daughters, Helen and Anna.
