Douglas Brower joined the faculty of the Hopewell Valley School District as a teacher of business education at Central High School. He received a B.S. and M.A. degree in business education and supervision from Rider University and pursued additional graduate studies in educational administration. He also engaged in extensive study of educational/instructional technology. During his first five years as a Central High School faculty member, he was the girls' varsity basketball coach where he achieved coach-of-the-year award honors.
