In my practice, I incorporate a multi-faceted, humanistic, and client-centered approach. Many of the integral components that I find to be particularly helpful draw on the findings of Narrative Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) among others. When working with a client, my first priority is having them on board, allowing them to engage and feel comfortable and safe. I do not find it benificial to "do" therapy to a client, rather to enable the client to experience therapy in the way that they are most comfortable.
