This document discusses the relationship between Johne's disease (JD) in cattle and Crohn's disease (CD) in humans. JD is caused by Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP) bacteria and causes intestinal lesions in cattle. Some researchers believe MAP may also cause CD in humans. Both diseases cause inflammation of the ileum and have similar symptoms. While pasteurization kills many MAP bacteria, some may survive and infected cows' milk or meat could potentially transmit the disease to humans. The geographic distributions of JD and CD overlap in some areas. More research is needed to conclusively determine whether MAP is an etiological agent of CD in humans.

Johnes disease (JD), caused by Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP), primarily affects ruminants and can be transmitted through contaminated milk, posing a potential risk to humans and is thought to be linked to Crohn's disease (CD). Research indicates a high correlation between JD and CD, with many patients presenting the same infection, but the exact relationship and causality remain debated in the scientific community. This report examines the transmission, symptoms, and geographical prevalence of both diseases, emphasizing the need for further studies to explore their possible connections.
This research proposal aims to compare student perceptions of online versus on-campus course equivalency and performance outcomes in an acupuncture theory course. A quantitative research design will collect data on student perceptions using a survey, as well as course grades, interactions, and evaluations. The study hypothesizes no significant difference in performance outcomes between formats. Equivalency theory provides the framework to determine if making online and on-campus experiences equivalent results in equal achievement. Results could inform acupuncture program online development given declining enrollment.
This study examined the relationship between institutional culture types (collegium, bureaucracy, enterprise, corporate) and faculty perceptions of online learning in chiropractic higher education. Surveys were administered to faculty at 6 chiropractic institutions to assess institutional culture and perceptions of online learning. Results found that faculty at bureaucracy-type institutions had more negative perceptions, while those at enterprise-type institutions had more positive perceptions. The study recommends that bureaucracy institutions transition to more of an enterprise culture to improve perceptions of online learning. Female, non-white, and full-time faculty expressed higher perceptions of online learning.

Chaulukya or Solanki was one of the Rajputs born from Agnikul. In the Vadnagar inscription, the origin of this dynasty is told from Brahma's Chauluk or Kamandalu. They ruled in Gujarat from the latter half of the tenth century to the beginning of the thirteenth century. Their capital was in Anahilwad. It is not certain whether it had any relation with the Chalukya dynasty of the south or not. It is worth mentioning that the name of the dynasty of the south was 'Chaluky' while the dynasty of Gujarat has been called 'Chaulukya'. The rulers of this dynasty were the supporters and patrons of Jainism.
