For the last ten years I have been doing basic research related with human pathogens. I first studied the HIV-1 evolution and then switched subject to better know the virulence factors of a bacterial threat: the meningococcus. During my postdoctoral training I have acquired strong skills in bioinformatics analysis, which has become an essential tool for studying biological systems. In particular, I have set up a high throughput approach to decipher new virulence factors of Neisseria meningitidis in vivo using the Tn-sequencing.
