Born in Anoka, Minnesota. Swedish, Irish & Scottish descent. Some members of family still eat Lutefisk. Won't say who. Carefree childhood, except for hip problems and divorce. Loved day care. Swam every day all summer. Moved to Milford, DE. Difficult adjustment but eventually came around. Not tested academically, so I had to work my way up. Did. College at The American U. in D.C. Interned at White House and Holocaust Museum. Entered the labor movement in 1997. Still there. A work in progress.
