After graduating from Government College University, Lahore, Dr Ghulam Mustafa went to the King Edward medical University, Lahore where he obtained his MBBS degree.
Initially he chose Dermatology but after a year ventured for research & joined Pakistan Medical & Research Council.
Half a year later he settled for Pediatric medicine getting the Post graduate degrees of Membership & Fellowship from College of Physicians & Surgeons, Pakistan (MCPS; FCPS-Pediatrics).
Further he went for subspecialty hands on training for Pediatric Pulmonology & Allergology at National university of Singapore (Fellow Pediatric Pulmonology & Pediatric intensive care).
