In order to fulfill the Master's degree, I worked on enhancing Methanol to formaldehyde conversion rate by means of different meso structure catalysts.
Modified mesoporous SBA-15 catalysts have been synthesized by doping and grafting of metal particles in the structure and on the surface of above-mentioned catalyst. The fabricated catalysts were characterized by XRD, SEM, EDX, BET and H2-TPR analysis. The performance evaluation was carried out in a fixed bed catalytic reactor at different temperatures. As a result, boost the amount of formaldehyde in final product was observed.
