Gael is a young researcher in wind turbine aerodynamics whose main expertise lies in airfoil design for high Reynolds, incompressible flows. He uses a full spectrum of analytical and computational methods, relying upon optimization (genetic, gradient-based, single and multi-objective) and model fitting techniques to describe physical phenomena and obtain meaningful compromises between design goals.
He started his carreer in Wind Turbine Aerodynamics at Actiflow BV before working in international cooperation with NGOs in Mali and Benin. He is currently back into science, pursuing a PhD in Aerodynamics/Wind Energy at Delft University of Technology.
Even so, he continues to be interested ...
