I am an in-house Sharia Controller for Chase Iman, an Islamic Wing of Chase Bank (k) Ltd at its Head Office in Nairobi. I play an important role in the day to day management of the Bank’s Sharia advisory, structuring, documentation and auditing services, across the full range of products and services on offer. I carried out product development to meet customer needs such as: Financing under Murabaha contract, Partnership program under Musharaka contract, Ijara and service Ijara, Salam product to provide solution to agribusiness, Sharia compliant credit cards and tawarruq under reverse murabaha. Other services involve training program for staff members, advise customers on business optio.
