I received my MA (2011) and PhD (2013) in Psychology (Behavioral Neuroscience) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill under the guidance of Dr. Todd Thiele. During my tenure at UNC-CH, I focused my studies on understanding the neurobiological underpinnings of several ethanol-related behaviors. I wrote a successful NRSA (an F31) in my second year, which allowed me to focus an abundance of time exploring epigenetic mechanisms related to ethanol-induced locomotor sensitization.
