I completed my PhD from the School of Computer Science and Engineering, UNSW in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) in August 2016. My research has a strong focus on applying Machined Learning techniques to Text Mining, and I’m especially interested in knowledge discovery from large-scale social networks where rich textual contents and complex social interactions co-exist, and in understanding how a synergetic approach leveraging both contents and link structures can facilitate the mining of knowledge. Statistical modelling and data analysis are also among my research interests.
