Hela Hakim (M’14) was born in Sfax, Tunisia. She received the Diplôme d’ingénieur and the Master degree in telecommunications and the PhD diploma in information and communication technologies (all with first-class honors) from the higher school of communication of Tunis (Sup’Com) in 2009, 2010 and 2014, respectively. Since September 2010, she has been a researcher at the TRIME laboratory at the Université de Québec  Montréal.
