Situated within the Research and Innovation Portfolio, Unisa Press is focused on scholarly publishing within key interest areas topical to the Southern African and global context. We are also currently reaching out to the other four South African scholarly presses, as this is an environment in which collaboration is to the benefit of all. For 2017, we are excited to have several works of high scholarly merit being prepared for publication. To diversify the Unisa Press publishing channels, I am studying open access publishing models for university presses, within an MA (Information Science, Unisa).
