I am a lawyer with graduate degrees in sociology and a B.S. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Transportation Engineering (Minn. '86). My engineering work included transportation noise, air pollution, and preparing environmental impact assessments, including 12 EIA's for transit facilities.
I helped pioneer national Sierra Club transportation policy in 1991-1995, while also serving as Legal Chair for the Wisconsin Sierra Club, among other roles.
Transportation, energy, pollution, and land use have been my passion since the Arab Oil Embargo of 1973.
