The International Models on Women's Rights (IMPOWR) is a new collaborative online database of information on gender-equality law reform efforts around the world. The essential purpose of the Project is to leverage the power of the internet to foster information sharing among the global community of gender law experts, project leaders and other stakeholders to help with the implementation national and international goals for gender equality and women's rights. Specifically, IMPOWR aims to provide a rich information resource that will facilitate achievement of the requirements of the 1980 Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
