Jack Brighton is Director of New Media & Innovation at Illinois Public Media. He chairs the News, Documentary, and Television Committee of the Association of Moving Image Archivists, and co-chairs the AMIA Open Source Committee. He co-founded the Center for Multimedia Excellence at the University of Illinois, and serves on the Technical Committee of the Urbana-Champaign Big Broadband project. He was a member of the PBCore 2.0 schema review team, and curates the PBCore community site pbcoreresources.org. He often speaks on Internet media, online journalism, media preservation, and web development at academic and media conferences.
