About
The main goal of my research is to assess how populations of plants and animals are affected by environmental variations, e.g. by landscape heterogeneity and climate change. This I do with the aid of dynamic population models and a wide range of statistical models. In the recent years I have become increasingly interested in using agent based and individual based models for investigating variations in population trends in space and time. Concurrently with my research I have maintained a profound interest in teaching and in giving students advise on the design and analysis of biological experiments.
