Jamal is currently the Assistant Principal at KIPP Tulsa College Preparatory in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Prior to joining the KIPP team and family in August 2012, he spent one year as the Assistant Principal at Tulsa Central Junior and Senior High School, one year as the Dean of Instruction at Wilson Middle School, and four years instructing seventh and eight grade scholars in mathematics at Madison Middle School all in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During his last three years at Madison Middle School, he served as member on the Site Improvement Team that lead Madison Middle to achieve Adequate Yearly Progress each year, in which the first year was the first time Madison had met AYP.
