James is currently a senior bid manager for the Plastic Electronics Centre in Sedgefield which is part of the Centre for Process Innovation and the High Value Manufacturing Catapult. He is involved with preparing research, development and delivering grant proposals for both the UK and European Union funding agencies covering several topic areas including graphene, biosensors, photovoltaics, conductive functional inks for industrial applications and ultra low permeability barrier coatings. He is currently a member of BSI NTI/1 Nanotechnology standards committee and has inputed to the development of critical terminology standards in this area such as BSI PAS 71.
