I am currently director of research of the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital (since 2005) and was previously a senior scientist at the Ontario Cancer Institute. My laboratory studies the molecular mechanisms associated with various diseases including diabetes, Alzheimers Disease, mood disorders and cancers. We employ transgenic and knockout mouse models as well as cell and molecular biology techniques.
