A native new yorker, I left the big city to go to college in rural Maine. After studying Marine Biology at UMaine Orono & doing some undergrad lab work, I decided that research science was not the career for me! I totally needed to be around people & not in the lab!!! After school I moved back to NY & worked in a variety of jobs at a law firm, a non-profit agency, an advertising agency, a call center & a financial services company. It was great experience but I missed the slower paced life of Maine. I decided to take some time off & travel across Eurpoe & India before moving back to mid-coast Maine. I satiyed in Maine for about 2 years, opened a catering business, was a bartender,
