In 2004 I co-founded JSM Appointments, an employment consulting service catering exclusively for the engineering profession and its associated occupational categories. My preceeding 25 year engineering career was littered with experiences of frustration and dissatisfaction in dealings with the recruitment industry, both as job seeker and employer. Employers continue to turn to external recruiters to supplement their recruitment function, and I felt there was a need for reliable recruitment services focused on the engineering team, ones that are both respected by members of the profession and recognised and trusted by the industry that employs them.
