I am currently an English Teacher at Waitakere College in Auckland.
The Graduate Diploma in Teaching from the University of Auckland has given me an excellent grounding in the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA as well as exposing me to the International Baccalaureate programme.. I have a good understanding of modern educational practices and am committed to the practice of student-centred learning.
I completed the diploma by undertaking a special summer school paper on Unit Planning for NCEA Levels 2 and 3.
My previous work history - particularly in the writing/editing fields - enhances my role as a teacher of English.
