I was born in Texas of an oil field family, the child of two WW2 Vets who became college graduates and bought their first car and first house through VA programs. I was raised to believe in this great country, both for it's ideas and it's landscape, to honor our American flag and the accomplishments of our ancestors and our heritage, here and abroad. From my parents I inherited the belief that we as humans are stewards of the earth and we have a sacred trust to find balance between conservation and energy consumption.
