I want to bridge the gap between scientific research, medical innovations and the social welfare of the public. In particular I have an acute interest in investigating the effects, spread and control of communicable disease in developing countries. Antimicrobial resistance is an issue of global concern and one in which I have strong interest. During my undergraduate year, I completed a project in which I was able to produce a natural antimicrobial, mutacin, from Streptococcus mutan strain By-266 on waste products as the media.
