Having earned my supervisory and provisional principal's certifications through NJ EXCEL and with more than 15 years of experience teaching secondary literacy--from grade 5 through grade 12--I continue to seek effective ways to improve literacy in young people. As a teacher of English, I continue to build on professional learning developed over the past twenty years, incorporating learning from professional development choices, master’s degree in reading, training from Columbia University Teachers College Reading and Writing Project, MAX Teaching, business experience, and most recently as a graduate of NJ EXCEL.
