I am a member of the 23rd class of the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) at the University of Notre Dame. In this capacity, I will serve for 2 academic years as a full-time Social Studies teacher in inner city Los Angeles while also pursing a Masters degree in Education.
As an ACE Teaching Fellow I am held to a high standard of excellence as I undertake the challenges inherent in the program. Each ACE teacher is immersed each summer in extensive coursework centered on pedagogy, challenged daily to meet the needs of her under-resourced school, and confronted with the need for constant reflection upon her closely-held values.
