Since 2005, I have served as a full-time volunteer for several National and State Parks and Recreation Areas. My volunteer work has ranged from writing a book on the insects of Zion National Park to conducting surveys for rare snails, butterflies, and birds in several different places. Before retiring, and still occasionally, I worked as a Senior Scientist for SWCA Environmental Consultants, an outstanding consulting firm working in the fields of natural and cultural resources.
