Having held a long-standing interest in international cultures and language, I moved to Japan in 2005 as part of the Japanese Exchange and Teaching Program. I have most recently worked as an Assistant English teacher in various Prefectural and Municipal schools based in Niigata Prefecture. After spending my first year teaching in Prefectural High Schools in Kashiwazaki City, I was selected to change contracts and work for the Municipal Board of Education of Kashiwazaki City where I stayed for the next two years.
