I believe every person can -- and should -- contribute in some way to making their community a better place...whether through volunteering time, making a financial donation, or building awareness about community and it's assets. One of the ways I choose to contribute is by volunteering my time as a Youth Leader for the Kendallville Mayor's Youth Advisory Council, mentoring young people to become the leaders of tomorrow. Youth are one of the greatest (and generally overlooked) assets a community can have. Mentoring young people, then watching as they become productive adults, is one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had. I am also the new Fund Development Manager for LEAP...
