What is a half-Canadian 2nd degree black belt doing kicking marketing butt in Silicon Valley? How did an adrenaline junkie, marketing nerd, and social psychology major wind up working in social media? Allow me to connect the dots: Given my people skills and scientific inclination (both useful marketing traits), I majored in Social Psychology then moved to Vancouver to earn dual citizenship, work internationally, and pick up digital marketing, plus learn persistence via black belt training (more useful marketing skills – see a pattern?). With my foundation built, I returned to school and earned three marketing certifications along with my 2nd degree black belt and dual citizenship. I ret.
