Laurie aims to profitably reducing impacts of mining. He is a strategic thinker with a multi-disciplinary and systems approach, and a focus on mitigating impacts through integrated design. He is a business focused process engineer who works with clients and stakeholders to identify and implement more sustainable solutions with lower emissions, less energy and water consumption and reduced risk of failure. He believes that the future of mining is more likely in moderate scale, flexible, selective, lower impact operations rather than gigantic, bulk, large footprint, high capital cost ones.
